•      Water detection with microwaves (Sentinel-1)

This Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image allows us to visualize the inland water bodies. The water bodies look black. The SAR instrument uses microwaves. They penetrate through clouds. The satellite data comes from the SAR instrument on board the Copernicus Sentinel-1 satellites.
