The use of a tool material is limited by several factors, such as hardness, toughness, work material, cutting speed, and cutting temperature, which are related to the nature of machining required. Hardness is the property of a metal that gives the metal the ability to resist non-recoverable deformation. Toughness gives the metal the capability to resist fracture.

Diamond and Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) are hard materials. Diamond is a very hard material. Diamond is associated with low toughness, but it is extremely hard to scratch a diamond.

Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) is an extremely hard synthetic tool material. PCD is made by sintering diamond particles with a binding agent. Work materials such as copper, aluminium are suitable for PCD tool material.

Features :

  • Position accuracy 0.01mm
  • Enables cutting at desired angle with +/- 0.5 Deg tolerance
  • Compact design
  • Compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Rotary table is 2” high and 4” (100 mm) in diameter.
