Propane (C3H8)—produced as a by-product of natural gas processing and crude oil refining.
Other names: Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Propane AUTOGAS
Uses: Home and Water heating, Cooking and Refrigerating food, Clothes drying, and Powering farm and Industrial equipment, and as a Raw material for making plastics and other compounds, and as Transportation fuel—HD-5 propane. Propane has a lower British thermal unit rating than gasoline, therefore, it takes more fuel by volume to drive the same distance.
